Nature's Natural Anti-Viral Supplement

Raisin Tree™ - What it is

“Across the world, traditional medicine (TM) is either the mainstay of health care
delivery or serves as a complement to it. In some countries, traditional medicine
or non-conventional medicine may be termed complementary medicine (CM).
The WHA resolution on Traditional Medicine (WHA62.13), adopted in 2009,
requested the WHO Director-General to update the WHO Traditional medicine
strategy 2002-2005, based on countries’ progress and current new challenges
in the field of traditional medicine. The WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy
2014-2023 thus reappraises and builds on the WHO Traditional Medicine
Strategy 2002–2005, and sets out the course for TM and CM (T&CM) in the
next decade.T&CM is an important and often underestimated part of health care.

T&CM is found in almost every country in the world and the demand for its services is
increasing. TM, of proven quality, safety, and efficacy, contributes to the goal
of ensuring that all people have access to care. Many countries now recognize
the need to develop a cohesive and integrative approach to health care that
allows governments, health care practitioners and, most importantly, those
who use health care services, to access T&CM in a safe, respectful, cost-efficient
and effective manner. A global strategy to foster its appropriate integration,
regulation and supervision will be useful to countries wishing to develop a
proactive policy towards this important - and often vibrant and expanding -
part of health care.”.

How it Works

Designing new, safe and effective allopathic antiviral drugs is difficult, because viruses use the host's cells to replicate. This makes it difficult to find targets for the drug that would interfere with the virus without also harming the host organism's cells.

Raisin Tree™, extracted naturally from the Oriental or Japanese Raisin Tree, is classified as  “alternative”. It is a flavanonol, a type of flavonoid. Flavonoids are one of the most prolific nutrient families known to scientists. There are already, over 6,000 identified family members. This nutrient group is recognised for its effective antioxidants with anti-inflammatory and immune system benefits. Diets rich in flavonoid-containing foods are sometimes associated with cancer, neurodegenerative and cardiovascular disease prevention. Flavonoids, like other antioxidants, work in the body by surrounding cell-damaging free radicals and metallic ions.

The main active ingredient in Raisin Tree™ is Dihydromyricetin, or DHM for short. It has the ability to influence and slow the intensity and the effect of certain toxins while also delivering anti-inflammatory action. In addition, DHM assists in the breakdown of Acetaldehyde in the body. Acetaldehyde is a naturally occurring organic compound that is found in everything from ripe fruit to coffee. It is also produced by the oxidation of ethanol (alcohol). Acetaldehyde is an undesirable toxic product of ethanol metabolism in the liver. It attracts itself to a number of proteins, which in turn alters the liver function and structure. This interaction can contribute to the aggravation or perpetuation of self-induced liver damage. DHM increases the ability of key enzymes to function. DHM enhances these enzymes which in turn allows you to cleanse acetaldehyde out of your system more quickly.

Raisin Tree™ (Hovenia Dulcis) has been used by practitioners of eastern medicine for hundreds of years and classified in herbology for its powerful health-giving benefits, this essential herb is documented in eminent ancient medical literature as a foundation of general health. Qualified scientific studies testify as to its antiviral properties, ability to improve respiratory capacity, anti‑inflammatory effects, treatment of liver diseases, fever and parasitic infections.

Original Raisin Tree™ now provides this important flavonoid in a convenient, high strength, 400 mg capsule form.

Taking 1-2 Raisin Tree™ daily is optimum for all round health.

Improving Respiratory Capacity

Studies completed on DHM suggest it could enhance the mitochondrial respiratory capacity. For more information please see: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29310441

Improve Liver Function

It is important to remember, there is no safe level of alcohol consumption. The recommended limit is 14 units per week for both men and women.

Research has shown that DHM improves the ability of the liver to process alcohol by improving the effectiveness of the enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase.

In addition to this, DHM will speed up the body’s natural ability to metabolise alcohol and acetaldehyde.  Researchers also found that DHM has liver protecting properties and blocks alcohol from affecting the brain’s GABA receptors.

Fatty Liver Disease

In a trial of sixty patients with fatty liver disease DHM improved glucose and lipid metabolism and exerted anti-inflammatory effects which were beneficial. To read the full research study, please refer to the footnotes.

About our Raisin Tree™

Original Raisin Tree™ is the purest form of the single natural herbal extract obtained 100% from the Hovenia Dulcis (Oriental Raisin Tree).

Most importantly, we never dilute the high strength and value of our product by adding secondary vitamins or minerals, so you have no need to buy preparations with those ‘extra’ additives. Indeed, sometimes by adding unnecessary ingredients it is possible to make capsules less effective and less bioavailable upon consumption. Each of our capsules contains nothing other than a 400mg measured quantity of Dihydromyricetin (DHM).

Raisin Tree™ is sold throughout the world and guaranteed as a quality product conforming to regulatory standards.
